About Me
Tom Murphy
I am a Chartered Civil & Environmental Engineer with over two decades of experience across Ireland and Australia. Throughout my career, I have worked in water and wastewater infrastructure, public transport electrification, renewable energy, and emerging technologies such as large-scale battery systems. I also lecture part time in University College Cork.
In 2022, my MSc Project Management thesis focused on competitiveness in offshore wind. My research highlighted culture and leadership as critical capabilities of high-performing organisations. Around the same time, I became increasingly fascinated by high-performance environments in sport and business, investing deeply in reading, research and practical application.
As a father of three young boys, making a positive contribution to climate action and sustainability is deeply personal. I moved into consulting to extend my impact beyond a single organisation—helping multiple teams accelerate progress, strengthen culture and deliver at a higher level.
